Obveščamo, da bo s 16. februarjem 2025 poslovanje konzulata Republike Slovenije v Sydneyu prekinjeno ter ne bo več potekalo na naslovu Level 1, 4 Railway Parade, Burwood, NSW 2134.

This year, the traditional event “Welcome Home” will be held for the first time within the framework of the European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica.
According to Minister Matej Arčon, this will be the largest meeting of Slovenians from abroad and the world so far.
What awaits us, how will it be different and why is it worth attending?
A new dimension to the meeting of Slovenians around the world.
While previous events were usually one or two days long, this year's program will be spread over several weeks. The main part will take place between June 13 and July 3, 2025.
After several years, the organisation is once again led by the Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad and Around the World, in cooperation with all key umbrella organisations - the Slovenian Emigrants' Association, the Rafael Society, the Association of Slovenians Abroad, the Slovenian World Congress and others.
The main event will be on Sunday, June 22. "From 6 p.m. onwards, the main event with a varied cultural program will be held on Bevkov trg in Nova Gorica. Music and dance groups of Slovenians from abroad and around the world will perform on the big stage. The evening's finale will be a concert by the Saša Avsenik Ensemble - admission will be free, which allows for wider participation, even for those who have not heard of this event before," the minister reveals.
