Slovenske oddaje v Avstraliji na digitalni mreži SBS -
odprto pismo - nadaljevanje

Prejeli smo za objavo

Konec meseca aprila 2013 je SBS v Avstraliji prestavil slovenske oddaje iz analognega kanala na digitalni, menjale so se tudi ure oddaj.
Prejeli smo odprto pismo generalnega konzula v Sydneyu g. Alfreda Brežnika, ki ga v celoti objavljamo. Objavljamo odgovor SBS in odgovor g. Brežnika na prejeto pismo.
To je bil tudi edini odziv slovenske skupnosti v Avstraliji na odločitev uredništva SBS.

Pismo 2
Dear Mr Breznik,
Thank you for your letter dated 7 May 2013, relating to the Slovenian language program. As a leader and spokesperson for the Slovenian community in Australia, we understand and acknowledge the concerns you have outlined in your letter regarding the move from analogue to digital radio and the new time allocation for the Slovenian language program.
The changes made are the result of a long process which included a public consultation in April 2012, to determine the criteria which would be used to select the languages for a new SBS Radio Schedule. The SBS Radio Schedule needed to be reviewed because it had not been changed substantially since 1994 and it no longer reflected the demographics of multicultural Australia as it is today.

Pismo 3

Mr. Joseph Skrzynski, AO

Dear Mr. Skrzynski,
I acknowledge the receipt of your letter, dated 17 May, 2013 (actually postmarked 12th June, 2013) in reply to my letter of 7th May 2013.
I indicated in my original letter to you that I didn't expect any changes in the decision made by the SBS Management, regarding the Slovenian language broadcasts from analogue to digital and the loss of two hours per week to one hour in a different time slot. However, due to a number of discrepancies in your letter of reply, which may be due to misinformation, I have no option but to correct your claims for the sake of accuracy, if for no other reason.
